Born in Puerto Rico, Trainer and Farm Manager Jose Arturo Gonzalez has harbored a deep passion for working with horses since his youth. With a wealth of experience gained over the years, he has worked at prestigious farms, interacting with a diverse array of remarkable horses.
At Winning Colors Paso Finos, we take great pride in having Arturo as our barn manager, overseeing the care and training of our horses. His robust work ethic ensures that clients' horses receive consistent and effective developement and exercise. Arturo's training style proves to be invaluable in working with Paso Fino horses, and he finds immense satisfaction in witnessing the transformation and development of each horse to its optimal state. His notable achievements in the show arena further underscore his expertise and dedication to the equestrian world.
Kelley Cox is a remarkable equestrian with a deep involvement in the Paso Fino horse community. Her roles as a breeder, trainer, exhibitor, sponsor, and certified judge highlight her extensive contributions. In 2004, her exceptional training abilities earned her the prestigious title of Paso Fino Professional Trainers Association Trainer of the Year, a well-deserved tribute to her years of hard work and dedication to the Paso Fino breed.
Beyond her equine expertise, Kelley also serves as a Veterinarian at the Animal Clinic of Citra, showcasing her diverse skills and commitment to animal care.
Dr. Kelley Cox is a distinguished graduate of the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine, earning her degree in 2014. Her commitment to humane service was recognized upon graduation when she received the Humane Service Award from Operation Catnip and the Charlie Bild Clinical Proficiency Award. Having graduated with honors in Animal Science from the University of Florida in 2007, Kelley's passion for Paso Fino horses traces back to her upbringing in Crabapple, Georgia, where she began training and showing these horses in 1984. Since her move to Ocala, Florida in 1996, she has seamlessly balanced her dedication to Paso Fino horses with her academic pursuits at U of F. Despite her busy schedule as a veterinarian, Kelley remains actively involved in the Paso Fino community, continuing to show and train these magnificent horses. Her journey from Georgia to Florida and her enduring dedication to both veterinary medicine and equestrian pursuits showcase the breadth of Dr. Kelley Cox's accomplishments.
Our journey began in 1984 under the name Gray Barn Paso Finos, nurturing a small group of family horses showcasing Pleasure and Performance in Crabapple, GA. Motivated by our deep affection and enthusiasm for the Paso Fino breed, we eventually relocated to Anthony, FL, in 1996.
